Introducing the Brookfield Chiropractic Team

Shay Vetterman

Hi, my name is Shay Vetterman and I am the office coordinator at Brookfield Chiropractic. I graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in Conservation Biology and Environmental Studies, and have a diploma in Nutrition. I am passionate about whole body health, and strive to share my knowledge and experience with others. Working with the doctors here is a great opportunity for me spread the word about chiropractic and its integral role in holistic and natural health care.  It is fascinating for me to see patients come into our office with pain and skepticism, and leave a pain-free, healthy believer.  In my free time I enjoy reading about nutrition, cooking, and spending time outdoors.  I look forward to meeting you!

Mary Shaner, Brookfield Chiropractic AssistantHi, my name is Mary Shaner!

I am the insurance/billing coordinator here at Brookfield Chiropractic.  Prior to coming here, I spent 14 years working in the insurance business: processing claims and explaining insurance coverage to patients.

I bring many years of experience to Brookfield Chiropractic, and am happy to use this knowledge to help the patients get the most out of their insurance, and to understand their coverage when it comes to their healthcare options.  I am always available to sit down with our patients and go over statements or just to answer any questions or concerns that they may have with regard to their insurance.

I live in Waukesha with my husband Reese and we own/run a gym there called Waukesha Mixed Martial Arts.  We are a fit and active couple that enjoys teaching others the rewards of exercising and keeping your body healthy.  We continually strive to help our students with healthy eating tips as well as personal workouts to focus on specific areas of concern that they have with their health.

We understand that the body needs to be attended to in order for it to run at maximum capacity and to sustain itself, and chiropractic care is an integral part of keeping it this way.

Jamie BiwerHi my name is Jamie Biwer and I am the chiropractic assistant at Brookfield Chiropractic. I assist patients with different types of therapy that are appropriate for his/her specific condition. Prior to being an assistant I didn’t realize how significant it is to incorporate chiropractic into your life. Chiropractic care is more than just making the pain disappear. It is about learning, understanding and taking care of your body to improve your quality of life. I have always been passionate about the human body and I’ve taken numerous courses pertaining to Human Biology at the University of Green Bay and I am currently enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program at WCTC.  I enjoy music, spending time with my family and friends and baking. I look forward to meeting you!

Brookfield Chiropractic Asks some important questions of interest to Brookfield residents - Chiropractor Brookfield Brookfield Chiropractic Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
